Here’s the thing about Manny Ramirez: He can be really freaking annoying. I used to love his “Manny being Manny” shenanigans, mostly because it pissed off the Red Sox, which made me happy, but what he did last night was just kinda ridiculous. Here is video of Ramirez bringing the game to a halt:↵
Oh, Don’t Worry Manny. Take Your Time. We’ll Just Hold Up the Entire Game for You.

↵⇥“I just went to the bathroom,” Ramirez said with a chuckle after Los Angeles’ 8-6 victory. “All the guys said, ‘Hey, we play nine in here.”’↵⇥↵In Manny’s defense, it’s my understanding as well that everyone in California only works part-days before checking out early to eat fish tacos and spend the afternoon at the beach with their supermodel girlfriends. But they do have to watch the Olympics on tape delay, so HA!, take that, west coast. ↵↵⇥This time, there was a plausible explanation—sort of—for Ramirez’s brief but conspicuous absence: He thought he had been pulled from the game.↵⇥
↵⇥↵⇥“When he came out, his jersey was half undone,” teammate Jeff Kent said with a smirk. “So if he was going to the bathroom, he takes his jersey off to do it.”↵⇥
