Big Ben Needs Help Finding His Car, O-Line

↵
↵The brutal beating of Ben Roethlisberger continued in the second half. Big Ben suffered seven sacks, and barely got back to the line of scrimmage four more times. Philadelphia trapped Ben for a safety in the fourth, though it should count as a double-safety: Roethlisberger, knee down in the endzone, flung the ball away like a sissy. Who turned Big Ben into a sissy?! (The Eagles defense, that’s who.)
↵
↵Despite the sheer defensive domination, the Iggles couldn’t bust open a decent lead, up only 12-6 with five minutes left. Brian Westbrook got cancelled early with a bad ankle, and Donovan McNabb has been taxied in and out after a few hard hits by the flying Steelers D.
↵
↵Those cannons who ruled the early set? None of that here in Philly. Mitch Berger, Eagles punter, has a cannon for a leg though: he’s regularly dropping the bread inside the 10. Big Ben gets nailed, puts the ball on the green. Philly ball inside the 20. Roethlisberger heads to the ice bath as Byron Leftwich warms up. DeSean Jackson goes out of his way to get out-of-bounds on an ineffective reverse.
↵
↵Super Dave Akers knocks in a chip shot for the 15-6 Philly lead. Leftwich has 150 seconds to make magic x 2. He hits the Steelers’ longest play on his second pass (a whole 21 yards). Pittsburgh on the 22.
↵
↵Down two possessions, 4th and 10 ... Mike Tomlin goes for it. Failure. Game over. Philly remains undefeated.
↵
↵Meanwhile, Martin Gramatica missed a potential game-winning FG for the Saints in Denver. Jay Cutler’s magic is uncontainable!↵
