It’s been a rough week for Tatum Bell. On Monday, he lost his job with the Lions to Rudi Johnson, and was subsequently accused of stealing two of Rudi’s bags as he left the facility. He returned the bags, claiming it was all a big misunderstanding, yet Rudi claims there are still cash, credit cards, and several pairs of his unmentionables missing. Now, several days later, Bell is still unemployed, presumably because teams don’t want a bag thief in their locker room. ↵

↵So today, Bell went on the Dan Patrick show to explain his side of the story. The results are somewhat unintentionally hilarious, particularly Bell’s mad pun skillz around the three-minute mark: “I never had any baggage.” Enjoy:↵

↵"There was a backpack sitting right there along with another bag. So happens to be Gucci, and you know, everybody has a Gucci backpack and Louie Vuitton backpack." Right, naturally. Can’t be lookin’ like no punk, walkin’ ‘round the locker room with a Jansport on your back.
