Dave Meggett Is a Pretty Horrible Person

Former Giants and Patriots running back Dave Meggett continues his quest to be named Worst Father of the Decade. We can only hope that his son Davin, a running back himself at Maryland, will take note of everything his dad does ... and does the complete opposite.↵↵The elder Meggett was twice accused of sex crimes in the 90s. Both of those charges were dropped. Ten years later, he’s back to being charged with horrible acts. ↵

↵↵In ’06, he was slapped with two years probation for a sexual battery charge. In September of ’08, he was charged with raping a 17-year-old girl. And just yesterday, Meggett was arrested in South Carolina for ... you guessed it ... rape. Again:↵

↵↵⇥The [21-year-old] woman told police she woke up at 1 a.m. Tuesday and found a man she knew as “Mike” sitting on her bed, according to an incident report. The man demanded that she repay $200 she owed him and raped her when she said she didn’t have the money, police said. ↵⇥↵⇥Afterward, the man told her he was sorry and that she didn’t have to repay him. The woman drove herself to the hospital, where Meggett later met her and was arrested, according to police records. ↵⇥

↵↵There’s one of two things going on here: either there is a vast conspiracy theory to portray Meggett as a rapist, or he is an awful sexual predator who should never see the light of day again. I’m not Chris Hansen, but I think I know which seems more likely.↵
