Colorado Retires Sakic’s No. 19 Before Game

The Avalanche crowd gave Joe Sakic a standing ovation before tonight’s game as his No. 19 jersey was retired and raised to the rafters. He joins Patrick Roy and Ray Borque as the only three Avs up there.

Sakic retired over the summer and left the game eighth all-time in points (1,641), 11th in assists (1,016) and 14th in goals (625).
