Cody McLeod Scores to Make it 3-1 Avalanche over Sharks

I’m wondering if the Sharks are still feeling the sting of their early exit in last year’s playoff as the Avalanche just took a 3-1 lead in the second period. Funny thing was that new Shark Dany Heatley who whined his way out of Ottawa was late on the backcheck to get McLeod before he banged a rebound past Evgeni Nabokov.

Joe Sakic was in the booth on Versus at the time of the goal and, in typical Joe Sakic understated fashion, he just calmly said, “Hey great goal by us right there.” Gotta love Joe no matter what team you follow.
