Conferences to Washington Huskies: ‘Sorry’

Washington’s tough overtime loss to Notre Dame in Week 5 was made even tougher by what the Huskies believed to be a couple of poor officiating decisions. The team asked for the Pac-10 and Big East to review said officiating decisions, and the verdict is: “whoops!” From the Seattle Times, via our own UW Dawg Pound:

↵↵In a statement relayed through Pac-10 associate commissioner Dave Hirsch, the conference said Friday that “after further consideration, both conferences have agreed that some calls in that game were missed by both the officials on the field and in the replay booth and we’ve moved on.”

↵↵In future match-ups, the conferences have agreed to give each team a football rather than try to police them as they fight over one ball.
