Big 12: Oklahoma State, Kansas Survive Shootouts

Two of the Big 12’s six ranked teams -- No. 15 Oklahoma State and No. 16 Kansas -- survived high scoring, back-and-forth shootouts in their conference openers on Saturday. The Cowboys outlasted Texas A&M (3-2, 0-1) 36-31 in College Station to move to 4-1 (1-0) on the season, while the Jayhawks got to 5-0 (1-0) on the year with a nerve-wracking 41-36 comeback win over Iowa State (3-3, 0-2).

↵Game balls go to the victors’ outstanding senior quarterbacks: OSU’s Zac Robinson for his 2 second half TD passes, and Todd Reesing of Kansas for his astounding 37 of 49 passing, 442 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Next Saturday: Oklahoma State hosts Missouri, while Kansas travels to Colorado.
