NHL.com is reporting that Vancouver Canucks sniper Daniel Sedin, one half of the expensive and extremely productive Sedin twins, will miss 4-6 weeks with a foot injury:
Canucks’ Daniel Sedin Out 4-6 Weeks With Foot Injury
“I took a shot off the foot in the second period last game,” Sedin said. “I kind of felt right away that something was wrong but we did an X-ray between the second and third period and nothing showed. The next day it was still kind of sore so we had another X-ray done and put the cast on (Friday). It’s unfortunate, but I’ve been lucky so far over the past nine years, so I guess it was bound to happen.”
This is the first time since coming to the NHL that the Sedin twins will be apart on the ice for any significant amount of time. Steve Bernier filled in on the top line in Daniel's spot as the Canucks edged the Dallas Stars in a shootout, 4-3, on Sunday night.
