Chris Chelios Looking to Sign With Chicago Wolves

After splitting with Red Wings during the offseason, Chris Chelios is looking to find another chance in hockey with AHL's Chicago Wolves. Chelios started working out with the team on Monday and is looking to sign a contract with the team sometime this week.

“The Wolves gave me a great opportunity,” Chelios said after the workout with the American Hockey League team at its suburban training center. “It’s going to fun, and I intend to have a good time with these guys.”

Chelios has played a total of 1,644 games in the NHL in 25 seasons. The Wolves are the affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers.
