Earlier this morning, as part of ESPN’s Rumor Central, Adam Schefter floated the the possibility that maybe Terrell Owens could possibly be traded to the Chicago Bears (maybe). That was enough for the Internet to absolutely lose its mind over the idea of Jay Cutler throwing to T.O. on a cold Chicago afternoon.

"T.O. to Bears" is currently the 15th most-searched item on Google, and has a hotness level of "medium" as everyone tries to stay on top of this story. A story that is not even a rumor, but really just something that Adam Schefter thinks should happen; at no point did he say it would happen. He even took the time to clarify on Twitter, "I don't expect [the Bills] to trade him..."
↵Ah yes, Twitter, the place where, if you believe what people say, Zack Braff died last night and T.O. is already getting fitted for his new Bears uniform. A quick search of “Terrell+Owens+Bears” will show you how quickly an idea becomes a rumor becomes “OMG! Bears got a No. 1 WR!!!” You can almost smell the gasoline being poured on the fire.

Finally, Schefter wrote that Buffalo trading T.O. would mean the Bills would "save $4-plus million and get back a draft pick for player in last year of deal who can walk away after season for zip," but that finding a team who actually is willing to make the deal is "the bigger obstacle."
