The bad news keeps coming for Louisville. Days after Jerry Smith and Terrence Jennings were arrested for resisting arrest after police broke up an altercation at an alumni homecoming event, the AP reports that the two face additional charges of battery and disorderly conduct.
More Charges for Smith and Jennings
According to reports, off-duty police officers working at the homecoming party tried to break up a fight that broke out between Jennings and other party-goers. Jennings resisted arrest, and was struck twice with a Taser before being subdued.
Smith approached the police after Jennings had been placed under arrest, and would not follow police orders to back away, before himself resisting arrest.
Scandal-plagued Louisville head coach Rick Pitino has said that this matter will be handled internally.
