Calvin Johnson Sits Out Thursday’s Practice

Calvin Johnson just can’t seem to get going this year. He is easily a top 5 receiver when healthy, but after leaving early against the Steelers last week with a knee injury the prospects of him playing this weekend are getting worse.

While the Lions won’t comment on the players’ status for Sunday’s game against the Packers, it appears unlikely either will play. Both Stafford and Johnson are recovering from right knee injuries.

The extent of the injury is hard to discern since coach Schwartz is fairly tight-lipped about injuries. I would say to buy low, but not knowing the severity of the injury it is hard to recommend that, but if you have someone really trying to sell low because they need a starter for this weekend then take the chance.
