Ravens OC Apologizes, Promises to Make It Up to You

Fantasy owners had started to enjoy starting Ravens’ WR Derek Mason. Before last weekend he was averaging almost five catches per game, and had 206 receiving yards and 2 TDs in the previous two games. Even against a pretty good Bengals defense, Mason looked to have a good Week 5. So what happened?

Zero catches. Zero yards.

Now, Baltimore Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron would like to apologize.

“It falls squarely right here,” Cameron said during his weekly media briefing this morning at the team’s training facility in Owings Mills. “It’s unacceptable for that to happen. It’s my responsibility — period. And we’ll do everything we can — and I guarantee that it’s not going to happen again. I know Derrick; he doesn’t really care as long as we win the game, and he’s sincere about that. But I don’t blame him. We’ve got to get that guy involved. He’s one of our best players.”

So there you go. With the Ravens needing to score plenty of points against the Vikings this week, it should be safe to start Mason again. Cam Cameron wants to prove that he still loves you!
