One could make the argument that the Chiefs and Redskins are the two worst-looking teams this year; predictably, Sunday’s game has been all kinds of ugly. It looks as though the Chiefs will win their first game of the season, 14-6.
Mr. Irrelevant Suddenly Relevant In Irrelevant Game
↵The Chiefs, who are singularly incapable of turning red zone opportunities into touchdowns, have depended on kicker Ryan Succop for almost all their points. Succop, as you may know, was the 2009 draft’s Mr. Irrelevant. Let me say this again: the last pick of the entire draft less than a year ago has decided this game.
↵So how is the score 14-6? The Redskins’ Todd Collins was sacked in the end zone for a safety on the final play of the game. The highlight of this game was probably 30 seconds ago, when I realized it was over.
↵To recap: the Chiefs are now 1-5 after beating one of the worst teams in the league. Then this happened.
