Indeed, with 10:30 remaining in the first half, Stephen Gostowski missed a 38-yard field goal that would have given the Patriots an early 3-0 lead. For shame. Since then, though, it’s been jaw-droppingly perfect for the Patriots. We’ve already mentioned Tom Brady, but seriously.
Fact: The Patriots Missed a Field Goal
↵Seriously?! He’s 24-for-28, for 345 yards, and 5 touchdowns. Wes Welker has two touchdowns, Moss has the same, and Tom Brady’s on pace to shatter the record for touchdown passes in one game (seven). For the Pats, it’s not exactly 16-0, but to the winless Tennessee Titans, grasping blindly for their dignity, I’d imagine it feels a lot like 0-16.
↵The Patriots lead 45-0 as they head out for the second half, and the Titans are presumably hoping their upcoming bye week can start immediately.
↵UPDATE: Brady to Moss, Part 3. Six TDs total. Good Lord.
