Remember when everyone was talking about the dynamic Eagles offense at the beginning of this year? Touting the genius of Andy Reid combined with the endless opportunities Michael Vick would give him, NFL fans shuddered at the thought of what their offense could muster.
That Vaunted Philly Offense...
↵And, ah, so far that’s not really working out. Maybe the Oakland Raiders are just playing really well on defense today, but either way, this tweet from Tim Kawakami was apt, and telling insofar as it probes at deeper concerns in Philadelphia:
↵↵I think this game might be over, as long as Raiders don’t blow it. Do not figure the Eagles will drive for a TD—has to be handed to them.
↵↵Indeed, after a long pass from McNabb to Brent Celek brought them within field goal range, the Eagles offense immediately sputtered, going 3-and-out, and settling for a field goal. And, oh yeah, they’re about to lose to the Raiders, which I think speaks louder than any play-by-play.
