Vendors Complete a Beer’s Circle of Life By Selling To Customers in the Bathroom
↵
↵For the second straight week, the Redskins made winners of the winless, handing the Chiefs their first victory of the season. No doubt it made for hardly the joyous atmosphere one would normally find at FedEx Field (that is to say, it was even more depressing that it already is when the Redskins are actually doing well). Still, stadium officials may confiscate anti-Dan Snyder contraband at the gates, but made sure that beverage needs were covered at all times during the FedEx experience, even while fans happened to be in line at the bathroom.↵↵Yep, vendors have been caught peddling beer in the bathrooms. And it isn’t the first time apparently. Posters on Snyder’s authorized message board extremeskins.com first made mention a year ago of vendors who were dipping into restroom lines to sell beers. Despite apologies from stadium management citing rogue vendors, fans had noticed that the practice has not been curbed. One even caught a beer vendor on film plying his inventory at a restroom entrance yesterday and posted the video online.↵
↵↵No doubt stadium management will again feign outrage and dismiss the vendor who was caught in the video. Given the groundswell of dissatisfaction among Redskins fans and the vast numbers of empty seats that will result, I doubt this will be the last time vendors go to extreme measures to get the most dollars out of the ever-smaller crowds.↵
