Buffalo Sabres Trade Daniel Paille to Bruins for Draft Picks

The Buffalo Sabres have traded Daniel Paille to the Boston Bruins for a third round pick and a conditional pick which can be as high as a fourth round pick. This move makes some definite statements about Sabres on the roster including the status of Tyler Myers and Tim Kennedy.

The Bruins are getting a former first round draft pick that has high potential but never really found a place in the Buffalo roster. Paille had a career high 19 goals during the 2007-08 season and appeared in two games with the Sabres this season. He was a healthy scratch for most of the season.

The Sabres needed to make a roster move due to the fact they will have players returning from injured reserve and would be over the roster limit. This move signifies that the Sabres intend to keep high profile rookie Tyler Myers with Buffalo instead of sending him back to his junior team.
