Richard Seymour: ‘The Raiders Will Be In The Playoffs In 2009’

Apparently when you join the Oakland Raiders, you are automatically brainwashed, because not only has Richard Seymour fully embraced his new team, but now he’s predicting they will make the playoffs. This year. In real life.

↵Seymour appeared yesterday on Two Deep Zone, a podcast on 1530Homer.com hosted by Artrell Hawkins and Charles Fisher, and issued his rather bold proclamation.

↵↵“You can mark it down,” Seymour said. “The Raiders will be in the playoffs in 2009.”

↵↵You can listen to the whole show here.

↵Currently, the Raiders are 2-4, third in the AFC West, and have scored just 62 points this season, the second-lowest total in the league. They do play the Redskins later this year, though. That’s at least one win.
