The AP reports Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery will miss his second consecutive game due to an injured hamstring. Jets head coach Rex Ryan was optimistic, however, that Cotchery would be healthy enough for next week’s game.
Jets WR Cotchery To Miss Week 7
Ryan indicated that Cotchery possibly could have played this week, but the Jets want to get him fully healthy so his hamstring injury does not become a nagging issue that bothers him for the rest of the season.
WR Brad Smith and CB Lito Sheppard will also miss this week’s game, so the Jets will rely on recently acquired WR Braylon Edwards and WR David Clowney to carry a passing game that certainly struggled to get on track last week against the Bills.
