The Patriots have followed up last week’s 59-0 discombobulation of the Titans by building a 14-0 lead against the Buccaneers in London. This adds up to 73 consecutive unanswered points. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that the record books address this statistical oddity. If the record isn’t broken, it might be by the end of the day -- it never hurts to play two consecutive winless teams.
Patriots Have Scored 73 Unanswered Points
↵Also, given the Anglo-American exchange rate, a touchdown scored in London should be worth about 12 points.
↵UPDATE: Including the postseason, the 1940-41 Chicago Bears might hold the record at 88. They won the 1940 championship 73-0, then scored the first 15 points of their first game of the 1941 season.
