Wade Phillips: Ware At The ‘Top Of The Class’

Dallas Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips has seen a lot of great defensive players in his time in the NFL, with DeMarcus Ware being one of the best:

“I’ve been lucky to be around a lot of good ones. He’s at the top of the class,” Phillips said of Ware, “and it doesn’t take long to call the roll.”

Ware has 57.5 sacks in 70 games and has four in the Cowboys last two wins while playing with a stress fracture in his left foot.

“He’s got all the things it takes and he utilizes them and he works hard at it,” Phillips said. “He’s only going to get better. I don’t know if he’s going to get more sacks than ever, but I mean he’s just going to get better, because he works so hard at what he does.”
