The NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora is reporting that Chris Cooley will miss the rest of the year with a broken bone in his right ankle suffered in Monday night's loss to the Eagles. Rick Maese at The Washington Post corroborates the report.
Chris Cooley Out For Rest Of Season With Ankle Injury
Taking his place is second-year tight end Fred Davis, who filled in for Cooley on Monday and had a career game, catching eight balls for 78 yards and a touchdown. Although, granted, much of that came in garbage time.
Chris Cooley has never missed a start in his six-year career. He was having a down season, but then again, so is everyone on the Redskins’ offense.
