Canucks captain and starting goaltender Roberto Luongo will be out at least a week with a hairline rib fracture, reports The Globe and Mail.

The injury was suffered in a game Saturday against the Canucks, but Luongo still managed to play Tuesday night against Detroit.

Andrew Raycroft will start in net for Vancouver during Luongo's absence, which is expected to last at least one week. Cory Schneider will be summoned from the AHL to serve as backup.
