Chris Cooley Presents Tales From the Operating Room

Once you’ve shared a picture of your wang with the blogosphere, there’s really nothing that can be labeled as too personal in your life. Chris Cooley understands this, which is why his brother Tanner chronicled the story of Chris’ surgery on his fractured ankle early Wednesday for posting on his blog.↵↵The injury, which some had initially reported could cost the tight end the rest of his season, now looks to sideline him roughly only a month. It is kind of remarkable that Jim Zorn, whose tenure as Redskins head coach will last only a little longer than that span, was on hand in scrubs at the hospital with Chris, his wife Christy and Tanner.↵

↵↵It being the Cooleys, there were at least a few good personal anecdotes to share both in the post and the subsequent hilarious radio interview Chris did on the car ride home.↵

↵↵⇥The best part of being around someone waking up from surgery is that you get to hear the greatest unfiltered thoughts of said person. I can’t say everything that was said, but I can say the best thing. Chris told the snag nurse that he would never forgive her for what she did, she asked what she could do to make up for it.↵⇥↵⇥“I wanna hold you down and twist your ankle!”↵⇥

↵⇥↵⇥I will never know if it is good or bad to have absolutely no barriers between what is thought and what is said but it did made for an amazing 20 minutes.↵⇥

↵↵↵Can’t imagine Chris has much of a filter to begin with (he answers “no boner” on the post-anesthesia erection question), but whatever minimal one there is is probably the difference between him and Chad Ochocinco. ↵
