If you’re not familiar with Boston College football, this may seem like an improbable turn of events. Up 21-3, at home, with torrential rains to slow the FSU speedsters, you might have thought Boston College had this game in hand. But that’s exactly what they want to think.
All Tied Up: Florida State 21, Boston College 21
In fact, they were just setting up their fans (read: me), for more heartbreak. After a late-field goal put the score at 21-6 going into halftime, Florida State’s slowly chipped away at the Boston College lead, and just tied the game with a touchdown, and an improbable 2-point conversion that saw a receiver catch the ball on a reverse, run to the opposite sideline, and throw across his body to find a diving FSU receiver in the endzone. The type of play that could only be successful against Boston College.
And for good measure, the Eagles just fumbled the ensuing kickoff, and the Seminoles are now driving in the BC redzone, poised for a go-ahead score. Excuse while I go hang myself.
