Yet another thrilling win for Notre Dame… Jimmy Clausen hit GOLDEN TATE (heretofore will be referred to in all caps, along with A.J. GREEN, JULIO JONES, VONTAZE BURFICT, and HERCULES) on pass to bring the Irish within a few yards of a score, and ND’s Robert Hughes punched it in from there. And though Washington had a few compelling chances on the ensuing drive, it wasn’t to be, as they failed to convert on fourth down, and the Irish escaped with yet another heart-pounding victory, once again scaring the crap out of Charlie Weis’ cardiologist.
