Ordinarily, I’m inclined to give Nike’s ad agency the benefit of the doubt with whatever they put forth. 98% of the time, I love it. I can think of a handful of their commercials that literally give me chills (like this, and this, and this).

But good LORD! This commercial makes no sense, and its omnipresence during big football games borders on excruciating:
The presentation's purposefully classical, you see—black-and-white imagery, football noir, offset with the futuristic stylings of Adrian Peterson, football revolut—wait, wait, wait, Adrian Peterson’s covered in scales? Uh… Weird.
