SB Nation’s Bleed Cubbie Blue was there today as the Ricketts family introduced themselves to the media and Cubs fans. They addressed their approach to running the team, and what will make this ownership different than those previous:

First, there are no multiple agendas. The only agenda is to win.
Second, they are going to reinvest in the team, the stadium, and the organization.
Third, there are no “quarterly results”, they’re in it for the long term: “Our shareholders are our fans.”
Essentially, Tom Ricketts said all the right things. All the things fans want to hear. Now the real mission begins, which is bringing the fans what they want to see: A World Series champion.
