Broncos Stonewalled on Fourth-and-Inches: Dal 10, Den 7

After methodically working their way down the field and into field goal range, the Denver Broncos looked to be headed for at least a tying field goal, or better yet, a go-ahead touchdown. On third-and-inches, though, the Broncos and RB Knowshon Moreno were stopped cold by Dallas’ front seven.

With that, Denver Head Coach Josh McDaniels had a choice between a 48-yard field goal attempt to tie, or an attempt to convert on fourth down, continue the drive, and possibly take the lead. He opted for the latter, and needing little more than a foot to get the first down, Denver got thwarted again, as Dallas LB Keith Brooking stood up Knowshon Moreno on what could be a game-changing play.

“The inches we need are all around us!”
