To the legions of Broncos fans, media, and even fellow teammates that may have questioned Brandon Marshall: please, re-watch the 51-yard touchdown he just had. It very well could have been the play that decides this game. Forget inches, that dude can just ball.
Brandon Marshall, Meet Redemption: Den 17 Dal 10
Kyle Orton lofted a pass that was, in Troy Aikman’s words, “underthrown but high,” and Marshall out-lept Terrence Newman, snatched the ball out of the hair, and then weaved his way throughout the Dallas defense, running 30+ yards after the catch for a crucial go-ahead touchdown. Basically, he took a pass that probably should have been incomplete, might have been intercepted, and defnitely should not have gone for more than 10-15 yards—and turned it into a 51-yard touchdown. Very impressive.
