Four games await you Sunday afternoon, the most intriguing of which is the Jets-Saints matchup in New Orleans. Our Jets blog, Gang Green Nation, is wary of score-happy Saints quarterback Drew Brees:
4 p.m. Games: Battle of the Undefeated Dreamboats
The Jets pass rush must pressure Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who has looked as if he has been playing 7-on-7. Brees has a 118.1 rating with nine touchdown passes in three games. If the Jets don’t hit him and make him uncomfortable, he will pick them apart. The Jets, it should be noted, have held opposing quarterbacks to a 50.2 rating and an NFL-best 47.9-percent completion percentage. Brees leads the NFL with a 69.1 completion percentage. Again, something has to give.
Adding to the fun, our Saints blog Canal Street Chronicles is setting up a post-game call-in show. Check out this post for details.
Here are the four games that start late Sunday afternoon. Remember to check out the live game threads. A warning: last week, Robert from Decatur, Georgia, saw links to the game threads and said, “nah, I’ll just watch the game on my own.” He was then left to make do with the color commentary on his television broadcast. Then he was run over by a train! Don’t let this happen to you.
