It’s no big secret that Jim Zorn’s offense has stuggled to score points since he took over the team before last season. In fact, their points per game have been in a slow, but steady decline since his tenure began.
Redskins, Lions Share More History
↵The most points Zorn’s Redskins have ever scored is 28. That came in Week 2 of last season. This means Washington has not scored 30 points since the 2007 season. The only other team that has failed to tally 30 in that time frame: the Lions.
↵As Dan Steinberg points out, the 30-point mark is mostly meaningless (especially when you consider the Skins are 10-10 over that time and the Lions are 1-19). Having said that, it would really be awesome to see the Redskins score more than 30 points one week.
↵It’ll happen, someday. And boy will I have a tale to tell the grandkids.
