↵Spongebob is inspiring the resurgent Miami Hurricanes in more ways than just flashing the U in Squidward’s direciton. (Squidward, in case you didn’t know, is a lifelong Florida State fan, and it’s been a great day for him.) Before the game, Jacory Harris channeled the power of Spongebob to fuel the ‘Canes in their efforts to upset Oklahoma.

↵↵”[Quarterback] Jacory (Harris) called up everybody up and said, “The only thing anybody’s going to watch on TV from now on is Sponge Bob,”’ UM coach Randy Shannon said. “We ain’t watching ESPN, we ain’t watching CBS, we ain’t watching ABC. If Sponge Bob can tell you how good you are, then you deserve it. I ‘m just letting you know that’s the kind of team we have now.”

↵↵Spongebob must have told them they were excellent, since one point victories over Oklahoma are rare. Miami plays Florida A&M and UCF the next two weeks, a soft patch in their schedule leading up their next game of any substance, Clemson at home on October 24th. In the meantime, it’s nothing but practice, eating, class, and sung rounds of “WHO LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE UNDER THE SEA” for the next three weeks for Miami.
