Over at SB Nation NFL, there are reports that Michael Crabtree and the San Francisco 49ers might be meeting today. Adam Schefter goes as far as to say he expects a deal to get done. So if the 49ers ever get Crabtree under contract, would he have any fantasy value? WR is one of the hardest positions for a rookie to make an immediate impact at, and that’s with going through all the offseason workouts and preseason games. Crabtree would be coming in cold and Vernon Davis and Issac Bruce are the main targets of Shaun Hill. It’s just hard to imagine he would have any significant value this year if he did sign. But desperate fantasy teams opt for desperate measures, so I’m sure he would get a test run on the bottom-dwellers.
