The Houston Texans travel to Foxboro to take on the New England Patriots in the Divisional round this Sunday afternoon. The Patriots are 3-point favorites at home after beating the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card round, while the Texans took care of the Steelers. This matchup has the lowest over/under of the weekend, with 40.5 total points. We have two good defenses here, as well as a concussion for the Texans best offensive player, WR Nico Collins.

Captain’s Picks
Drake Maye, QB, Patriots (FLEX $13,000, CPT $19,500)
I don’t see either team putting up a lot of points in this game, but I like Maye’s upside the most out of everyone. The Texans play a lot of man coverage, that should allow Maye to find some scrambling lanes throughout the game.
Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, Patriots (FLEX $11,200, CPT $16,800)
Stevenson has been on a heater, which he continued last week when he totaled 128 yards on 14 looks. He’s still not getting huge touches, but he’s mostly been outplaying rookie TreVeyon Henderson and has a better role as goal line back and receiving back. He’ll likely need to do work through the air to get much space against this defense, but he’s played so well that I could see him scraping together another strong game.
Christian Kirk, WR, Texans (FLEX $8,600, CPT $12,900)
With Nico Collins likely out, we should see higher ceilings for Kirk, Jayden Higgins, Xavier Hutchinson, and Dalton Schultz. Kirk had a big game last week against the Steelers, as he caught 8-of-9 targets for 144 yards and a touchdown. I think he can avoid Christian Gonzalez out of the slot this week and should have a shot at another big game.
Value flex plays
Kayshon Boutte, WR, Patriots (FLEX $5,800, CPT $8,700)
The Texans defense is so, so good, but they do play man pass defense due to their stud corners. Anytime you can get a one-on-one rep deep with Maye throwing the ball, you’ve got a chance and I expect the Patriots to take some shots, as is their wont.
Xavier Hutchinson, WR, Texans (FLEX $5,400, CPT $8,100)
Hutchinson had a big dame in Week 18 against the Colts, as the team held out Nico Collins. He ended up catching 5-of-9 targets for 84 yards in that matchup. Collins will be out again this week and we could see more work for Hutchinson, but he is still risky with so many receivers likely ahead of him i the pecking order. But, I do expect the ball to be spread around plenty, and going with the cheaper play makes sense here if you need the cost savings.
Hunter Henry, TE, Patriots (FLEX $7,600, CPT $11,400)
Henry has been steady this season and has found the end zone in three of the last four games. The Texans can be beaten by tight ends and have allowed eight touchdowns to the position compared to ten touchdowns to wide receivers. Since he doesn’t usually put up big yardage games, his price is depressed enough to bring some value and he has one of the better shots at scoring on the team.
