The Pontiac Silverdome, host to Super Bowl XVI, Wrestlemania III, the 1994 FIFA World Cup and any number of listless Lions defeats, can be all yours. Yes, an entire hulking outdated stadium can be yours, so long as you’re willing to outbid a bunch of developers.↵

↵↵The City of Pontiac, interested in spurring development in this harsh economic climate, has commissioned Williams & Williams to auction off the 80,000-seat stadium and the roughly 127 surrounding acres of land to the highest bidder. Sealed bids are being accepted until 4 p.m. Nov. 12, with the winning bid to be announced at 1 p.m. Nov. 16.↵

↵↵So if you’re itching for a venue to hold your own personal monster truck rally, over-the-top wedding or even ostentatious megachurch , here you go. Perhaps even a full-scale recreation of Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant. You’ll have to find somebody to sub for Andre, though.↵
