Pesky Life-Giving Sun to Momentarily Interrupt a Baseball Game

Argh! Stupid sun! It burns our skin, melts our ice cream, kills Icarus and now it’s ruining baseball for us. Yeah, sure, it makes all life possible on this planet, but what has it done for us lately? Give us nothing but grief, that’s what!↵↵Case in point: the TBS broadcast of today’s Game 2 of the Phillies-Rockies series will be briefly interrupted for two-to-five-minute spans because of solar interference, which typically occurs every year in February and March, as well as September and October.↵

↵↵⇥The position of the sun can interfere with any TV satellite operations during a span of a few days during each spring and fall. On Thursday, there will be a period of potential disruption lasting from approximately 4:10 p.m. to 5:10 p.m. EST.↵↵↵Well isn’t that wonderful? Thanks a lot, sun! Don’t you know it’s the playoffs?!↵

↵↵Then again, it could just continue to be nature’s utter contempt for the Phillies, lest anyone forget the drama with the rain during last year’s World Series.↵
