Week 10 Add/Drop: Sweet Chamber(s) Music

ADD

Chris Chambers - Chambers has had a rough few weeks. It was revealed that he’s being stalked by an ex-girlfriend, then he was cut by the Chargers. Then, to make it worse, he was signed by the Chiefs! He’s trying to make the best of it though, pulling in three catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday. He might be older, but Chambers still can have a big game once in a while. Just don’t expect too much.

Ladell Betts - Betts looked good against the Falcons, finishing with 93 total offensive yards with a touchdown. Clinton Portis left the game with a concussion and it’s not clear when he’ll return, but a concussion can be a lingering injury so Betts should find playing time the next few weeks.

Joey Haynos - The Dolphins continued their offensive plan of throwing the ball to guys you’ve never heard of, this week throwing a TD pass to TE Haynos. Joey H becomes the first Dolphin with more than one receiving touchdown if you can believe that. Chad Henne will never throw for 300 yards but Haynos could be good for a few more touchdowns this season. Or, next week it could be another guy that wasn’t on your draft list.

DROP

Maurice Morris - When Lions’ RB Kevin Smith went down with an injury last week, Morris stepped in and looked like a great waiver wire pickup. When Smith started practicing, the Detroit coaching staff made noises about Morris and Smith sharing time so Morris still looked like a good choice. When this week’s game had finished, Morris had only four carries (for 20 yards) compared to Smith’s thirteen carries (for 67 yards). So much for sharing time. Kevin Smith has regained his starting role, so unless you’re keeping Morris as a handcuff it’s time to dump him.

Darren Sproles - Worst. Franchise Player. Ever. Darren Sproles was once again invisible in the Chargers running game (one rush for one yard) and insignificant in the passing game (five catches for 22 yards). During the preseason he was considered a candidate to be the Chargers starting RB or, at worst, to share time with Tomlinson. That hasn’t worked out as so far this season Sproles has a combined 459 total rushing and receiving yards. Ugh.

Ted Ginn - Everybody off the bandwagon! If you league scores return yardage/touchdowns for individual players, then Ginn might still be worth a bench spot. If you’re expecting him to produce as a WR, you’re going to be sadly disappointed. His Sunday line of one catch for seven yards has become all too common this season.
