Brady Quinn Will Reportedly Get Another Chance To QB Inept Team

Browns coach Eric Mangini is expected to officially announce the starting QB for Week 10 on Wednesday, but -- as is often the case -- Adam Schefter may have already ruined the surprise. According to him, Brady Quinn will once again be the Browns quarterback.

Quinn last played in Week 3 against the same Ravens team he will (reportedly) start against this Sunday. He was replaced halfway through the game by Derek Anderson, who has been the QB ever since despite putting up historically awful numbers (42% completions; 4.4 yards per completion; 2 TDs to 9INTs; etc.).

So, why would Mangini make the move to Quinn now after sticking by Anderson the previous six weeks? [CONSPIRACY THEORY ALERT] It could have something to do with that 70% clause in Quinn’s contract, which has been much publicized. In case you need a refresher, Cleveland owes Quinn an $11 million bonus if he plays 70% of the offensive snaps this season. Obviously at this point in the season, it would be virtually impossible to reach that plateau.

Regardless of the money issue, starting Quinn is the right decision this week. And the week before. And just about every week previous.
