Well played, Idaho athletic director Rob Spear. Well played:

↵↵Idaho athletic director Rob Spear says he declined to board a Horizon Air flight after learning the airplane was painted in Boise State’s blue and orange colors. Spear was traveling to Boise on Saturday for fundraising events. He requested another flight and then drove about 90 miles north to fly from the Spokane, Wash., airport to Boise.

↵Spear says he’ll board the plane after Horizon Air paints an airplane for the Vandals [...]

↵↵This is noble and all, but it’s a little like throwing away a full plate of food because the trim on the plate is the wrong color. There are starving people in the world. There are likewise people everywhere, even as you read this, freaking out about not making their flight on time. Here’s betting a few of those people would very much like to punch Mr. Spear in the face right now.
