Dan Hardy was able to hurt Mike Swick in the stand-up in every round of the fight. Swick had moments where he was able to catch Hardy in exchanges but never was able to hurt him and make him question throwing his hands. The odd moments were when Hardy would buckle Swick’s legs he usually charged in to clinch rather than go for the finish.It was clear throughout the fight that Swick wanted to get Hardy to the ground but Dan used very solid takedown defense to remain standing where he was able to score with counters.
