“Moral victory” seems like a bit of a misnomer, doesn’t it? After all, football games aren’t struggles of right vs. wrong, and it’s a bit of a stretch to even call it a lesson. It’s likely that the individual who first coined the term originally meant, “morale victory,” but the term was lost in the sands of time.
