Peter Forsberg Is Not Coming Back To The NHL

One of the few players that can create a buzz any time he puts skates on and tries to comeback for the seventeenth time, Peter Forsberg, is not coming back to the NHL. Forsberg had been trying to make a comeback into hockey as he skated in Sweden but has made the decision to stay in Sweden. Here is what Canucks GM Mike Gilles had to say about the situation:

↵↵“My understanding is Peter is going to stay and play in MoDo and he won’t return to the NHL this year,” Canucks general manager Mike Gillis said. “He made it [the decision] because it’s more of a day-to-day thing with his foot as opposed to a situation where he’s confident he can play.

↵↵Forsberg has been trying to come back to the NHL ever since he retired in 2007-08 season. His nagging foot injury has kept him off the ice for most of the past two years but he will try and make a comeback to hockey with Modo this season. Whether he ever makes it back to the NHL will be another story.
