Bud Adams Extends Buffalo a Triumphant Double Middle Finger Salute
↵
↵There wasn’t a turnbuckle and a can of beer involved, so you can’t say Titans owner Bud Adams gave the full “Stone Cold” Steve Austin treatment (NSFW image) to Bills fans, but that’s probably as close as you’re going to get from the luxury suites. Late in Tennessee’s 41-17 home win over Buffalo, the 86-year-old owner was spotted flipping both birds in the direction of the Bills bench, which is made doubly audacious by the fact that is was reported that he watched part of the game with Roger Goodell, who will undoubtedly be having words with Adams again very soon.↵↵And while it’s obvious that Adams is in need of some kind of reprimand for his actions, I’d argue you need something slightly more creative than merely a fine. If you think slapping a $10,000 fine on a player is easily ignored, just wait until you try it on an owner. How’s about making him publicly apologize on the field next week in Houston, where Bud is already not the most popular guy in the world, having shanghaied their former franchise to Nashville.↵
↵↵UPDATE: Goodell laid a $250,000 fine on Adams, or $125K per finger.
