Brett Favre Now Officially Giving Comfort to the Enemy

Americans have been tortured by the unremitting mentions of Brett Favre for at least the last several years. However, it’s typically been a self-imposed thing. Not anymore. But then, that’s the price of a free and open society. Our enemies see the harm we inflict upon ourselves and start using it for their own ends.↵↵⇥According to a military official, detainees at a Wisconsin National Guard camp in Iraq are using Brett Favre as a manner of getting at the guard troops there.↵⇥↵⇥“They know Favre by name,” said First Lieutenant Tim Boehnen, who is from New Richmond, Wis. ↵⇥

↵⇥↵⇥“One of the big words they know now is shenanigan. They’ll constantly talk about ‘Favre shenanigans,’ ‘He’s so good for the Vikings,’ and ‘The Packers have got to really feel bad about that one.’ ”↵⇥

↵⇥↵⇥According to Boehnen, it started when troops there started decorating their camp in Packers colors.↵⇥

↵↵↵Not bad trash talk, detainees. But if you really want to stick it to the Packer fans, you need to rag on the team’s porous offensive lines as well. How about “your backfield is as easy to invade as this country”? But then that might be a little too self-deprecating for even detainees. ↵
