Week 11 Start/Sit

Last week I asked if Larry Johnson had any fantasy value left. Now that he is in Cincinnati, are the Bengals worried about Cedric Benson? Forget, Johnson and cuff Benson with Bernard Scott.

Speaking of handcuffs, as we had into the home stretch, this is the time to make the most of your roster depth. Bye weeks are over, so package depth for talent which have good play-off match-ups. Make sure you cuff your stud RBs, as teams who are playoff locks will likely rest their stars.

Here are some names to consider, grabbing or buying low on. And if you’re in a keeper league some of these guys will improve your teams for years to come:

Kurt Warner, QB, ARI - Certainly not a keeper stud, but he has a sweet schedule down the stretch and can help you win your league. His remaining schedule is a QB’s wet dream; Rams, Titans, Vikings, 49ers, Lions, Rams, Packers... That’s fantasy gold for a pass happy QB.

Matt Schaub, QB, HOU - He’s had an off couple of weeks, so a less than savvy owner may give this guy away too cheaply. He can help in the play-off run and is a sweet keeper. Down the stretch, five of his final seven games are against teams he can shred.

Donnie Avery, WR, STL - Coming off his bye week he should be healthier and rejuvenated, and he should start coming on. His first game back, he gets two TDs. He’s the Rams only real WR now, thanks to injuries, and they’ll be playing from behind every game. Likely he was picked back up off waivers, but he makes a nice play-off run and keeper investment. Over his final games he faces; The Cardinals twice, Seahawks, Bears, Titans, Texans, and 49ers. All of them are poor against WRs.

Anquan Boldin, WR ARI - Seems surprising he’d even be on a list like this, but injuries and team struggles early on hurt his fantasy value. He seems healthy now, and should be a big part of the final weeks of play. There’s probably no better time to buy low. See his remaining schedule above.

A few more guys I like down the stretch; Greg Olsen, Fred Davis, Vernon Davis, Kevin Walter, Pierre Smith, Shonn Greene.

Back to the week at hand...

The bye weeks are over, but thanks to injuries, Michael Turner, Ronnie Brown, Julius Jones, and Brian Westbrook are all out. And thanks to stupidity, so is Dwayne Bowe. This means Jason Snelling, Ricky Williams, LeSean McCoy and Justin Forsett, all have added value.

--Week 11 - Start and Sit--

Generally, I always recommend starting your top picks, regardless of match-ups, barring injury, of course.

Matt Schaub, HOU vs. TEN - No one surrenders more fantasy points to wide receivers or quarterbacks than the Titans.

Maurice Jones-Drew, JAX vs. BUF - This may be the no brainer play of the week. The Buffalo Bills couldn't stop your grandmother in a walker right now.

Andre Johnson, HOU vs. TEN - A huge game for Schaub, has to be a big game for A.J., right? In week two, Johnson torched the Titans for 149 yards and 2 TDs.

Greg Olsen, CHI vs. PHI - Assuming all Jay Cutler's passes aren't picked, Olsen faces the Eagles who are by far and away the worst at protecting against TEs.
