The Raiders Might Save Your Fantasy Playoffs

It’s typical for NFL players to talk up their quarterback. For example, here are some recent quotes from an NFL team about their starter:

"A love for the game that he shows in the way he plays, the way he calls plays. The way he works on details of plays with players, in between."

Wow! Sounds good, huh? Who do you think they're talking about? Peyton Manning? Donovan McNabb? Kurt Warner?

Would you believe....Bruce Gradkowski?

The Raiders are going to have a very tough couple of weeks. They face Cincy, Dallas and Pittsburgh in the next three games; games that should be crushing defeats. The important thing isn't that they lose, it's that the team (and the coaching staff) sticks with Gradkowski because after that things get much easier.

The three games after that are Washington, Denver and Cleveland. Each of those games could match up nicely with your league's fantasy playoffs. Raiders like Zach Miller and Michael Bush can be important contributors for your team down the road -- if Bruce Gradkowski is still behind center. If the team loses faith in Gradkowski and JaMarcus Russell comes back, all bets are off.
