Larry Johnson’s first on-field appearance in Bengals stripes is garnering a lot of attention -- quite possibly, more than is warranted. I say this because once Cedric Benson was ruled out of Sunday’s game and Johnson was bumped up to second on the depth chart, I took the liberty of simulating the Bengals-Raiders game. Of course, I updated the roster to reflect the shake-up at running back.

↵The results? As underwhelming as possible! It’s no surprise that virtual-reality Marvin Lewis didn’t use Johnson much; his two carries were good for -2 yards. Meanwhile, starter Bernard Scott rushed 13 times for 106 yards, and the Bengals won by a surprisingly close 27-23 score.
